Our Story
Envisioned as a concept back in 2019, our narrative only grew more passionate amidst the challenging landscape of the Covid pandemic. Two high school students from Plano West keenly witnessed the escalating disparities within the STEM fields. Driven by a compelling desire to address this pressing issue, the Path2Med initiative emerged as a vital response to the urgent need for bridging the STEM accessibility gap among low-income middle and high school students.
Our story is one of necessity, born out of the imperative to create pathways for those who might otherwise be excluded. Path2Med strives to be a beacon, illuminating the way for passionate young minds in the face of the cutthroat industry that is STEM. With a focus on fostering equal opportunities, we aspire to empower more children in our community to showcase their talents without bias, ultimately making a meaningful impact in the world of medicine.
Real-World
Projects
We create personalized projects and planning catered towards students' own needs. They can include but are not limited to school science fairs, passion projects, or introductory projects in order to ignite their passion for STEM.
Mentorship
Providing mentorship opportunities to guide students on their STEM journey. We host many in-person and online lessons on a multitude of topics vital to STEM: biology, chemistry, environmental sciences, and all forms of mathematics up to calculus.
Community
Impact
We ensure that our students also meet new like-minded individuals who share their passion for STEM. We host a multitude of activities that foster relationships between members. We hope that they positively change their communities through the efforts of Path2Med, our aspiration is to witness the realization of our efforts culminate in the emergence of the next generation in the STEM domain. We envision a future where the fruits of our efforts empower these individuals to profoundly influence their communities, mirroring the impact we aspire to achieve.
