Path2Med Initiative - Empowering Low-Income Youth in STEM

As youths with a burning passion for medicine, we faced many obstacles on our path to success. A lack of connections and challenging financial situations made obtaining opportunities such as research extremely difficult. Although we worked through the difficulties, we promised to try out best to ensure that no one would have obstacles out of their control block their paths to success. Through the founding of Path2Med Initiative, we found the support and resources we needed to actively work towards the goal of an industry of STEM not obstructed by external factors. Now, we want to give back and inspire others to follow their passion for medicine.

President & Visionary Leader

Sahand Khavari embodies a deep-rooted passion for the medical field. His journey, marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence in healthcare, has been fueled by a desire to make a significant impact on global health. As the President of our initiative, Sahand brings a unique blend of cross-cultural insights and an unwavering commitment to advancing medical science. His visionary leadership is not just about pioneering new paths in medicine; it's about inspiring and empowering the next generation to transform healthcare landscapes around the world.

Daniel Liang

Co-President & Head of Operations

Daniel has always had the goal of helping as many people as possible. His journey, marked by inevitable setbacks and a lack of opportunities resembles the idea of hard work. As the head of operations, Daniel brings his empathetic mindset in talking to others through his own past experiences and difficulties. Starting Path2Med has been a lifelong goal of his, due to the ability to impact the community that has given everything to him. His main wish is to give back to the DFW area through the empowering of individuals in healthcare.

Mentorship Program

Receive guidance and support from experienced mentors who will help you navigate your path to a career in medicine. They're able to accessed online and in-person, allowing mentorship to be accessed anywhere for aspiring medical students.
